阔叶杂草及某些单子叶杂草,如藜、茄、龙葵、蓼、酸模叶蓼、马唐、血根草、锡兰稗和野黍。芽后施用,用药量300~450gai/ha的剂量可防除阔叶杂草和禾本科杂草。高剂量[900gai/ha],对玉米也安全,但遇干旱和低洼积水时,玉米叶会有短暂的脱色症状,对玉米生长的重量无影响。在正常轮作条件下,对冬小麦、大麦、冬油菜、马铃薯、甜菜和豌豆等安全。可以单用、混用或连续施用防除玉米杂草。ICIA0051为叶面除草剂,也可通过根系吸收,残留土壤活性使ICIA0051优于仅有叶面活性的芽后除草剂。这一附加效果是防除某些杂草如苋属的重要因素。施药后杂草很快脱色,缓慢死亡。三酮类除草剂的作用方式至今仍未完全弄清楚,很可能是叶绿素的合成直接受到影响,作用于类胡萝卜素合成。由于这一作用方式,它不可能与三嗪类除草剂有交互抗性。Sulcotrione 是 β-三酮除草剂,可以抑制羟基苯基丙酮酸双加氧酶 (HPPD)。 HPPD The results show that sulcotrione behaves as time-independent reversible inhibitor. This behavior is consistent with the data present in the literature, describing sulcotrione as a competitive inhibitor of HPPD.
